Ridgefield House

Bentonville, Arkansas

This Cape Cod style home was built in the 90s and the homeowners wanted to keep a timeless, traditional feel while updating the downstairs to feel more current and reflect their personalities. Katie enlisted Nico Interiors to beautifully execute her space planning vision and project management downstairs and Katie focused on finishes throughout the home.

The original oak floors were refinished to maintain warmth and a lived-in feel. In the kitchen, attention to detail was key especially in sourcing the unlacquered brass hardware, cabinet-faced appliances and the most perfect soapstone countertops. The vision for the wet bar and baking center was beautifully brought to life, providing elevated spaces for entertaining and daily life tasks.

The powder bath was an eye catching update with Schumacher wallpaper, new sconces and a show-stopping console sink with brass legs. The living room kept its original charm with built-ins, and wainscoting and received beautiful new paint and updated gallery wall.

Upstairs, Katie executed a complete redesign of the primary bathroom that included new space planning, a water closet, marble tile shower and floors, a gorgeous slipper tub and a vanity that is both highly functional and beautiful. The primary closet also received a facelift which included a cased opening, moving the washer and dryer into the closet and redesigning cabinetry for elevated form and function.
